Wali-G Moves to Minneapolis Fall 2023

Wali-G moves to the Twin Cities of Minnesota to test his skills, experience, education, and spirit in the realms of real estate, music, videography, and creativity. He has only considered moving to Minneapolis in his youth, but decides to explore this unknown world of opportunity in the largest city of Minnesota.

He moves into an apartment three blocks from U.S. Bank Stadium and 3-blocks from the Mississippi River. As a realtor, he is about to embark an entrepreneurial road trip around the state of Minnesota.

After living in Minneapolis for only two weeks, he has the following to report:

  1. 6-strangers have asked him if they know him. (Videos and/or doppelgängers may be the reasons…or the matrix…don’t forget the matrix).
  2. Twin Cities drivers tailgate and forget all about the 2-second rule for safely spacing between vehicles, but not nearly as bad as the drivers in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
  3. The Minnesota Vikings have been 3-0 and turned their season around from a terrible starting record. Is the championship curse lifting from U.S. Bank and the Vikings? Probably not yet since QB Kirk Cousins hurt his achilles tendon against the Packers last week in Lambeau in Week 8. Kirk O Chainz will be out for the season. Hopefully, Jalen Hall and the free agent pickup on Halloween, Joshua “The Alien” Dobbs, can play good enough at QB and inspire the team to keep winning against the 2023 odds.
  4. If you are a military Veteran, check out VetTix.org. They give out donated tickets to veterans to just about any type of event. Wali went to The Record Company playing at the Fillmore (MPLS). Wali recommends, for personal health, to get out into public and share a laugh, an song, a event…with a community of people/strangers.
  5. People have been super-nice. Perhaps there is a difference between “Minnesota Nice” in small towns and big cities? In any case, everyone in his apartment has been very friendly and happy. This is counter to the image Wali’s friends and family living outside of the city have tried to share because their perception of Minneapolis as a result of gang violence, the George Floyd death, and the burning of the police department.
