Oregon Trail 3.0 is going well. Aside from the darkness, the cold, and the humidity.
My body is not quite in sync with this west coast winter climate in Portland, Oregon.
I rolled into Portland mid-November 2024 for a new job opportunity with Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Portland Regional Office. My gig is helping get Veterans their compensation benefits.
When I rolled into Portland in November, it was not the “pleasant-weather season” in Portland.
Sun not coming up until after I am up and in matrix-cubicle land of work. Get done working at this point of the year and sun disappeared if it ever showed itself in a winter cloud city.
Made it to January. Things are improving in the realm of daylight.
However, the humidity and the cold sitting around freezing, I feel it in my bones and muscles.
This Portland winter wants me to know it is winter.
Apparently West Coast winter wants to kill a person and/or their spirit too.
Looking forward to spring 2025!
