Veterans Week 2024

If people celebrate their birthday for a month, you might as well celebrate Veterans Week.

Based around November 10th (Marine Corp Birthday) and November 11 (Veterans Day), I created a week of notable days related to military. Here is this year’s list to celebrate:

1. November 7 – Purple Heart Day for WWI
2. November 8 – Battle of Ia Drang Anniversary (1965) Vietnam.
3. November 9 – Berlin Wall Opening (1989) End of the Cold War.
4. November 10 – Marine Corps Birthday (1775)
5. November 11 – Veterans Day (originally Armistice Day)
6. November 12 – Sherman’s March to the Sea (1864)Important Union Army event in the Civil War.
7. November 13 – Naval Battle of Guadalcanal (1942): Marks a decisive World War II battle that bolstered Allied control in the Pacific, highlighting the courage and sacrifices of those who served in the Navy and Marine Corps.
